Oh yes… The Wonder Twins. Two of the most evil creation’s known to man.
In October 2008 we rescued the Multnomah County Animal Shelter from the wraith of the Wonder Twins when they were still kitten’s (about 4 months old) and have been held hostage by the two litter mates since.
One is a female known as Sakura (Cherry Blossom) and the other a male known as Drew Brees.
Yes, he is named after the former Purdue and now current New Orleans Saint’s Quarterback Drew Brees who is a multiple NFL record breaker, Super Bowl winner and Super Bowl MVP and the only person to throw for 5,000+ yards in a season.
Yet somehow still isn’t good enough to win the NFL MVP? Yeah. Ok.
And for the record, it was Pauline who named Drew, I named Sakura.
They are 4 years old now and and it has been one long never ending nightmare since.
The things we do for charity.
Sakura – 06/2008 to Present – Born in Oregon.
Drew Brees – 06/2008 to Present – Born in Oregon.
Here is our list of dead cat’s.
Duchess Alexis – 10/1994 to 08/14/2010 – Born in Indiana, lived in Florida, Died in Oregon. She had multiple medical problems late in life but she never complained even when she had every reason in the world to, not a mean bone in her body.
Reggie Miller – 04/1995 to 02/25/2009 – Born in Indiana, lived in Florida, died in Oregon. Taken too soon from nasal cancer. He was born in a barn and was a runt and learned how to fight for life early. We got him to settle down and he became a great buddy even though he was a crabby cat. Named after the NBA “Hall Of Famer” and all time greatest Indiana Pacer, Reggie Miller.
Madame Aurora – 04/1989 to 01/31/2006 – Born in Indiana, died in Florida. A complete loner, unless she didn’t want to be alone. She was a stuck up snob, but lovable all the same. She was Pauline’s first cat and she is one of the main reason’s Pauline and I are married.
Miss Randi Elizabeth – 10/1987 to 04/08/2004 – Born and died in Indiana. Someone dumped her at our elderly neighbors farm when she was 6-9 months old. I was lucky to be found by her the day after WrestleMania 4 so I named her after Randy “Macho Man” Savage and his wife “Miss Elizabeth”. I have had many cat’s before her, but I count her as “my first cat” and she made sure any female, human or animal, knew she was my cat. Loved to cuddle and loved a good fight. Was my constant shadow when I was home. Queen of the house.
